Showcase Details
-
Date: Saturday 29th March 2025
-
Venue: The Club Room, inside The Bedford, Balham, London

What Performing Involves:
-
Learn & Memorise: The 2-3 minute choreography taught in class, ready by the end of the course.
-
Attendance: Attend at least 7 weeks of the course in person, especially Week 9 (mandatory dress rehearsal) with your group
-
Emails: Read specific venue / stage prep info we send out by email which is important for all performers
-
Show Day Arrival: Be at the venue by 12 noon (show starts at 2 PM, ends ~3:30 PM).
-
Guests: Performers can watch the show for free from the mezzanine. Friends/family need to book tickets in advance (limited seating)
-
Costume: Wear a full costume or a long skirt, top and hip scarf that you have in your wardrobe - it's up to you (we also have a sale of items here)
-
Costume Photo: Upload a photo of your performance outfit by 10th February so we can assign stage positions
-
Footwear: Many of us perform barefoot on the carpeted stage (like a rock band stage), but the choice is yours if you prefer dance slippers. Offstage, the venue requires shoes/slippers.
-
Media: The event may be photographed/filmed. Guests are welcome to record or take photos of yours and other student performances.
-
Limited Places: Performance slots are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Register as soon as you’re sure you want to perform. Registration closes when all slots filled or by 20th January 2025.
-
Waiting List : After registration closes, we’ll operate a waiting list. If a spot opens due to cancellations, we’ll contact you. You’ll have a limited time to decide whether to take the spot (depends on how close we are to the show). To join the performance, you must know the choreography well and attend Week 9’s dress rehearsal.
Note: Being on the waiting list doesn’t guarantee a spot, and the group’s ease depends on performers being fully prepared. -
Important: You can cancel if needed, but only register if you’re sure. Late cancellations disrupt stage positions and group plans, thereby affecting the other performers.
Performing on this type of stage can be challenge

After 10 weeks of dancing in a smooth dance studio floor it can feel overwhelming to perform on a carpeted stage, made up of blocks with lines between each block. Some dancers enjoy the challenge, but we want you to decide with this in mind

If this all sounds good, we'd love to have you perform with us!
